Designed for the solo lightweight backpacking experience and tested in some of the worst terrains on Earth, the ALPS Mountaineering Mystique 1.0 Tent is a one of kind tent. Fully integrated, the tent packs some of the most sought-after features without compromising on other backpacking essentials such as weight and spacing. Let’s have an in-depth look at the tent.
At only 3 lbs. 11 oz., this is, without doubt, a very light tent. This is further complemented by the use of shockcorded 7000-series Aluminum poles well-known to be light, strong and durable. On top of that, the tent has a small footprint courtesy if the Bivy style ALPS choose to go with ensuring you have more than enough space left to pack your belongings.
Looking or a place to stash your wet gear? The Mystique 1.0 has you covered. Complete with a large vestibule, you no longer have to worry about leaving your stuff out in the open.
Worried about rain? The Mystique comes with a waterproof full coverage fly that not only guarantees you a dry floor during a downpour but is also easy to put up. The factory sealed fly and floor seams also guarantee excellent weather protection. On top of that, the 75D 185T polyester fly resists UV damage ensuring you remain safe and protected.
Normally an issue for most solo tents, the ALPS Mountaineering Mystique 1.0 Tent luckily suffers from no internal condensation or stuffiness. This is partly due to the adjustable fly vent as well as a dedicated mesh side ensuring that it never gets uncomfortable inside your tent. The fly vent can be opened for increased airflow, especially useful for those hot days. On top of that, you also get roof panels for increased ventilation.
In a bid to make this your go-to tent, ALPS Mountaineering equipped this tent to be easy to assemble. With virtually no learning curve, this is a great start for beginners or those new to camping. Thanks to the Combo sleeve and clip assembly alongside a post and grommet pole-tent connection, you can have your tent set up or set down in a little over 3 minutes.
Despite the lack of a free-standing posture, the Mystique 1.0 remains stable even in high winds thanks to the external guy out loops.
Easy Entry and Exit
Despite being a solo tent, the ALPS Mountaineering Mystique 1.0 Tent comes with two doors, each on either side, making entry/exit a bliss. On top of that, you get two additional vestibules for even for storage of stuff you want to keep close.
